How We Communicate

Dr. Lyndsey | Ecology of Care

I’m a solo practitioner, and keeping our communication in one calm, secure place lets me be fully present with you in session — and keeps anything important from slipping through the cracks. Here’s how to reach me, and what to expect.

The patient portal is our home base

Please send all communication through the secure patient portal. It’s self-serve for booking, rescheduling, and cancellations, and it’s the right place for any question between visits. Keeping everything in the portal protects your privacy and your health information under HIPAA, and makes sure your message actually reaches me.

What to expect

  • Booking & cancellations: self-serve in the portal.

  • Quick questions between visits: send a portal message — I reply within 24–48 business hours.

  • In-depth or clinical questions (labs, your plan, new symptoms): these deserve real attention, so please book a brief in-person or virtual visit rather than a long message thread.

  • Urgent, time-sensitive needs: text 541-224-7012 (please reserve this for genuinely urgent matters — it’s just me).

  • Emergencies: call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. This practice does not provide emergency care.

A gentle note

Standard text and email aren’t secure, so please don’t share health details there; I’ll always steer clinical conversations back to the portal or a visit. And because thorough answers are part of good care, messages or calls that need more than about five minutes of clinical time may be billed at my $89 virtual-care rate — not to nickel-and-dime, but to honor the depth of the work and keep this practice sustainable. Thank you for meeting me in these loving boundaries.
