About Dr. Lyndsey
Classical medicine, modern science, and a deep belief in the intelligence of the body.
I’m a classical acupuncturist, herbalist, lifelong science nerd, and deep believer in the body’s capacity to adapt, communicate, and heal.
I work best with people who want thoughtful, deeply individualized care. The kind that makes room for the full story, helps you understand what your body is communicating, and gives you a meaningful role in what comes next.
HOW I FOUND THIS MEDICINE
As a child, I spent equal time buried in biology textbooks and lying in fields staring at the sky, convinced both were trying to tell me something about what it means to be alive.
Long before I became a doctor, I was captivated by the quiet miracle of being human at all: that a body knows how to heal a wound, grow a baby, turn sunlight into neurotransmitters, and keep a heart beating through joy and devastation alike, all without ever asking our permission.
That fascination led me to study neuroscience and a rigorous pre-med curriculum at Boston College.
The Quiet Miracle of Being Human
Alongside the anatomy labs lived another kind of knowing: a dog-eared copy of the Tao Te Ching found in a thrift store as a teenager, years spent visiting my father in China, and a growing sense that some forms of wisdom aren’t invented so much as remembered.
It took my own unraveling to understand that more fully.
After a traumatic brain injury and years of chronic illness, I went looking for a medicine spacious enough to hold the whole of a person. Not symptoms in isolation, but the relationships between physiology, nourishment, environment, history, emotion, and spirit.
Acupuncture entered that chapter not as a miracle cure, but as something quieter and more profound: a way of listening.
It helped me feel inhabitable to myself again.
Eventually, it became the medicine I wanted to spend my life studying and practicing, extending to others the same possibility it had given me: to feel more at home in a body, more alive in a life.
TRAINING + CREDENTIALS
In service of better care
My training spans Classical Chinese Medicine, biomedical science, women’s health, fertility and hormonal care, neurology, orthopedics, herbal medicine, and integrative physiology. I remain an enthusiastic student of this medicine. The research keeps evolving, the medicine keeps deepening, and the humans sitting across from me keep giving me better questions to ask.

A little life outside the treatment room
When I’m not with patients, you’ll most often find me with my hands in the garden, wandering after mischievous animals, lost in too many books at once, or laughing with my wife.
I’m quietly devoted to homegrown tomatoes, the magic of a really good soup, the local library, and any excuse to sleep beneath the stars.
Maybe that is part of why I practice the way I do. I’ve never been especially interested in health for health’s sake. I’m interested in what feeling well allows us to return to.
However you found your way here, I’m grateful you did.
Come as you are.
A LOVE LETTER TO MY PATIENTS
For the life you are here to live.
What becomes possible here is bigger than symptom relief. Feeling better matters because of what becomes possible when you do.
When pain softens, sleep deepens, digestion steadies, or your cycle feels more supported, more of life becomes available to you.
You pick up your grandchild without thinking about your back. You have enough energy left at the end of the day for the people you love. You recognize what your body needs before it has to shout. You rest without negotiating with yourself first. You trust your instincts. You have more room for creativity, pleasure, work, movement, intimacy, adventure, and the everyday business of being alive.
Over time, my hope is that care gives you more than a body that feels better. I hope it gives you more of yourself for the life you are here to live.
with love,
